LSA Welcomes New Summer Intern

Hi! My name is Angelina Mai, and I am an upcoming senior at Andrew Hill High School. Last week, I started my first job as an intern at Life Services Alternatives.

I became an intern through the Work2future summer internship program. I chose to apply to LSA because I wanted to work in something healthcare related. On my first day, I was super nervous and worried that the people I work with might not be very nice. However, within the first 5 minutes that I was here, I quickly realized that wasn’t the case at all. I was greeted by many friendly and kind employees who were genuinely excited to have me here. I felt so welcomed as if I’ve already been working here for months.

Celia Moreton, the Director of Development, and Laura Le from Marketing and Communications, took me under their wing. They talked to me about what I wanted to do in the future and what I hope to gain from this internship.

They showed me that they had a sincere interest in me and cared for my future. Within my first week here at LSA, I already knew I was going to love this job, and I will be forever thankful of the exposure to working in the real world that LSA has given me.
